Highway Infrastructure Manager

This is a critical position that combines the responsibilities of a Highway Authority and Lead Local Flood Authority. As a Development Management Officer, you will play a key role in delivering proactive, future-focused service delivery.
The role offers a varied and challenging workload, including project managing the adoption of new highways infrastructure and highway improvements, assessing drawings for compliance with specifications, providing advice on Highways and Sustainable Drainage, and carrying out site inspections of new development roads and highway improvements.
You will also be responsible for building excellent relationships within the development industry, working to challenging timescales, and representing the views of the Council in discussions with property developers, consultants, and contractors.

About YouWe are looking for individuals who are able to support the team, collaborating with colleagues across the service to deliver the best outcomes for our customers. To do this, a combination of technical knowledge and good communication skills is required.
You will ideally hold a HNC or Eng Tech in an appropriate discipline, but applicants with suitable industry experience will be considered.
