Deputy Care Manager Role
Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley & Skipton is seeking an ambitious and driven Deputy Care Manager to manage and develop the business, ensuring compliance at all times.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct client assessments and generate high-quality care plans for new care packages.
- Review the support needs of existing clients, ensuring the service continues to provide the highest quality of care.
- Ensure outstanding compliance across the business and support the business in achieving a minimum of "Good" in CQC inspections.
- Assist in the responsibility of staff, planning, allocating, and evaluating the workload of all staff.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and approved practice.
- Continually review and improve processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is being delivered.
- Ensure training needs of all staff are met effectively, implementing induction programs and identifying and providing for ongoing training needs.
- Liaise with the Business Owner and Registered Manager regarding recruitment requirements.
- Shortlist candidates, schedule interviews, and conduct phone screenings and face-to-face interviews.
- Ensure all applicant paperwork is fully completed as per Right at Home UK and statutory requirements, and is signed and countersigned.
- Check all ID documents against application paperwork and apply for Enhanced DBS documents for all applicants, tracking the progress of each application where required.
- Support the delivery of high-quality care by taking part in "on-call" duties.
Requirements
- Hold, or be working towards, QCF Level 5 qualification in Social Care.
- In-depth understanding of CQC assessment criteria for Good and Outstanding scores.
- Junior management experience of service provision in the care industry.
Due to the nature of the work and role, you must hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to a car.
