Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Premium Menswear Product Development Expert to join our team at House of Fashion Associates Ltd. in Manchester.

About the Role:

This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Menswear to develop new fabric, trim, and logo concepts for our premium menswear brand.
  • Create technical packs and bill of materials (BOMs) with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Attend fit sessions and prototype reviews to ensure garments meet our quality standards.
  • Manage the execution of styles from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to critical path deadlines.
  • Contribute to design direction meetings, bringing creative ideas and newness to the team.
  • Work closely with suppliers to coordinate daily communication and obtain initial prices for prototype samples.
  • Aware of brand adjacencies and key trends, attend key style capitals for fabric trade fairs and visit key stores and brands.
  • Inspect Health and Safety aspects of supplier manuals during factory visits.
  • Prioritize sustainable fabrics, trims, and packaging where possible.
  • Assess and appraise factories on a regular basis, feeding back to Production Manager and Head of Menswear.
  • Ensure the current supply base is compliant and transparent.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience in design and product development, preferably in menswear or sports wear.
  • A passion for menswear design and the premium branded market.
  • A relevant degree in menswear design.
  • Excellent garment construction knowledge and extensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Travelled to factories and key style capitals.
