About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team at London Gatwick Airport. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of complex projects across the airport.

Reporting to the Senior Field Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising multi-disciplined construction projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and promoting a positive HSE culture. Your experience in a similar role, on £multi-million projects, will be essential in supporting the project team across all phases, from planning and execution to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver regular site safety engagement to ensure compliance with HSE standards and promote a positive HSE culture
  • Review contractor CDM and quality submittals for compliance
  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineering colleagues to ensure all works are installed to plan
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Field Engineer, Site Engineer, NEC Supervisor, or Clerk of Works in the construction or civil engineering sectors, managing multi-year projects valued at up to £10 million
  • Skilled in project handover and closeout processes
  • Proficient in identifying and resolving HSE issues related to construction
  • Well-versed in quality management principles and practices
