We are seeking a dedicated Social Impact Assistant to join our team at Medaille Trust, a leading UK charity fighting modern slavery. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our sewing activities and contributing to the recovery of vulnerable individuals.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of sewing, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to engage with female adults in a trauma-informed way. They will work closely with our staff to deliver activities according to agreed procedures, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our service users.

This is a rewarding role that requires commitment and maturity. The successful candidate will commit to volunteering every fortnight, be able to commute to our venue in Southampton, and pass an enhanced DBS check. In return, they will gain valuable experience, develop new skills, and contribute to the important work of Medaille Trust.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the delivery of sewing activities and support service users in group settings.
  • Provide guidance and support to service users, including teaching sewing skills and assisting with activity sessions.
  • Work alongside staff to ensure a safe and supportive environment for service users.
