Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Security Assistant to join our team at Townmoor Approved Premises in Doncaster. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, while also contributing to the effective risk management of people released from prison.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the supervision of residents, dealing with routine issues and referring serious incidents to designated on-call managers.
  • Staff and supervise the Approved Premises during designated shifts, adhering to procedures and completing incident reports as necessary.
  • Enforce Approved Premises rules, respond to abusive or aggressive behaviour, and demonstrate pro-social modelling skills.
  • Liaise with Key Workers, Deputy Manager, and Manager to share issues concerning residents, process information, and maintain records.
  • Contribute to the work with substance misusers, monitor and record residents' movements, and report any maintenance or security issues.
  • Conduct curfew checks, wellbeing checks, fire alarm tests, room searches, and monitor CCTV equipment.
  • Maintain an active presence in the AP, regularly engaging with residents in a pro-social manner, and contributing towards the protection of residents.
Requirements
  • Understanding of good Health and Safety practice.
  • Understanding of good anti-discriminatory practice.
  • 1st Aid Trained.
  • Good English oral & written, administration, and IT communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively.
