We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Engineer to join our team at NewOrbit Space. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing the thermal control system for our revolutionary air-breathing ion propulsion system.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement thermal control systems for our spacecraft, ensuring stable operation in extreme temperatures. You will work closely with our mechanical and electronics engineers to ensure seamless integration of thermal control systems with other spacecraft components.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement thermal control systems for spacecraft, including steady-state and transient thermal analysis.
- Collaborate with hardware development teams to advise on design decisions, ensuring optimal thermal performance.
- Develop thermal vacuum (TVAC) test procedures, scripts, and installation designs.
- Drive the development of thermal systems, including system architecture definition, thermal system modeling, component sizing, and design.
- Utilize FEM analysis tools (e.g., Ansys) and programming languages to support thermal engineering efforts.
- Participate in the daily operation, growth, and R&D planning of the company.
