Leeds City College is seeking an exceptional Business Studies Course Leader to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
  • Record student progress, motivate, and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills for progression.
  • Reflect on teaching and learning methods to meet diverse student needs.
  • Adapt curriculum delivery methods to maximize effectiveness, including technology use.
  • Plan, prepare, and develop effective schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching resources, and online learning resources.
  • Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using various teaching methods.
  • Develop and employ effective assessment activities.
  • Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and record learners' progress.

About You

  • You will hold an Honours Degree in a relevant subject and have relevant experience teaching 16-18 year-olds up to level 3.
  • Holds a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE).
  • Relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in teaching science as a subject.
  • Inspire, motivate, and engage the next generation of entrepreneurs.
  • Act with honesty and integrity to maintain high standards of ethics and professional standards.
  • Manage and promote restorative practice approaches and strengthen relationships.
  • Role model and promote a positive image of the college.
  • Comply with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
