Role Overview:

The Lecturer in Animal Management will teach students within the Further Education (FE) Animal Management area at Sparsholt College Group.

This role is suitable for candidates with a focus on general Animal Management subjects, such as animal care, welfare, and behavior. The successful candidate will deliver a range of subjects within the animal management curriculum.

Key responsibilities include teaching theoretical and practical aspects of animal management, handling a variety of animals, and demonstrating competent handling skills.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification in Animal Management or a related subject, along with experience working with learners from 16 years old.

Estimated Salary: £36,507 per annum

The post holder will be responsible for teaching students' learning programmes, including portfolio building, life skills development, and other relevant work.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Teach theoretical and practical subjects in Animal Management
  • Handle a wide range of animals
  • Demonstrate competent handling of animals
  • Hold or be willing to attain a recognised teaching qualification

Requirements:

  • Suitable Animal Management or related subject qualification
  • Experience working with learners from 16 years of age
  • Relevant animal-related industrial experience
