About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and inclusive leader to join our team at Polaris as a Deputy Headteacher with SENCO responsibility. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in fostering a culture of trust and valuing every individual within our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, demonstrating a therapeutic mindset and empathetic nature to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusivity, diversity, and social-emotional learning within the school.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to drive school improvement and achieve our strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Deputy Headteacher or similar leadership role.
  • SENCO qualification and experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
