Risk Mitigation Officer

We are looking for a Risk Mitigation Officer to join Apleona in minimizing the risk of fire at our client's site and providing coordinated emergency responses.
About the Job:This role requires someone with experience in identifying and addressing incidents that breach internal requirements or external regulation.
- Identify and address incidents or practices that breach internal requirements, external regulation, or present a risk to Health and Safety or business operations.
- Represent the Fire Team on the Incident Response Team (IRT) when required.
- Maintain and repair portable Fire Extinguishers to BS 5306 Part 3 1985 (Section 3).
- Maintain and repair Portable Fire Hose Reels.
- Input/output data of asset spreadsheet.
- Complete Safety Management Awareness audits.
- Conduct basic training in Fire Loss Prevention.
- Conduct practical training and exposure to basic Fire Fighting Techniques.
- Minimum GCSE Maths & English.
- Computer literacy and familiar with MS Office applications.
- Basic Fire Fighting Techniques.
- Experience in maintaining and repairing portable Fire Extinguishers to BS 5306 Part 3 1985 (Section 3).
- Valid UK driving licence.

Estimated salary range: £28,000 - £32,500 per annum based on Barrow In-Furness location and industry standards.
