About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Climate and Energy Policy Manager to join our team in Scotland. As a key member of our policy and advocacy team, you will play a critical role in developing and advocating for solutions to accelerate Scotland's response to climate change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policy positions to drive climate action in Scotland
  • Lead the development of evidence-based briefings and materials to inform policy decisions
  • Advocate for policy change to high-level decision makers, including Scottish Government officials and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with NGOs, businesses, and other organizations to achieve climate policy goals
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, including research and budget management
  • Develop and implement a long-term theory of change to shift the policy status quo
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in climate and energy policy development, ideally in Scottish and UK Government contexts
  • Proven track record of successfully advocating policy change to decision makers
  • Strong understanding of the UK and Scottish climate and energy policy context, institutions, and stakeholders
  • Excellent project management and research skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
