About the Role


The External Communications Officer will be responsible for sourcing and creating engaging content about SOAS University of London's learning, teaching, research, and other activities for various audiences. The role holder will collaborate with colleagues across the School to generate new content and plan its dissemination. The successful candidate will support the External Communications Manager in delivering a strong public profile for SOAS both nationally and internationally.


Key Responsibilities



  • Liaise with colleagues to develop and implement effective communication strategies
  • Create written, audio, and visual content for various audiences
  • Support media engagement to promote SOAS's key projects and activities
  • Work closely with the External Communications Manager to achieve communication objectives

Requirements



  • Excellent communication and content creation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the School
  • Strong understanding of SOAS's values and expertise
  • Ability to adapt to changing communication priorities
