Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical engineering design across a wide range of sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver mechanical engineering design projects from concept to completion.
  • Carry out any or all stages of mechanical design, including concept, feasibility, detailed design, and documentation.
  • Develop designs conscious of energy conservation, sustainability, and renewable technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets technical and legislative requirements.
  • Produce high-quality designs, documentation, and reports.
Requirements:
  • Hold (or meet the criteria to hold) security clearance to MOD SC level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Educated to at least degree level in mechanical engineering, building services engineering, or architectural engineering.
  • Experience of pipe design, detailing, and GD&T.
  • Proficient in CAD modelling and drawing to BS8888 in Inventor.
  • Chartered and member of relevant body (working towards this will be considered).
What We Offer:
  • A competitive hourly rate of £50 per hour, outside IR35.
  • A 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
  • A dynamic and supportive work environment.
