Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics on HGVs to identify issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
- Assemble and fabricate parts as necessary to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair.
- Ability to lift heavy loads as required during repairs (heavy lifting).
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
- Ability to assemble components accurately and efficiently.
- Knowledge of electrical systems relevant to HGVs is advantageous.
What We Offer
This opportunity offers a competitive salary between £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a variety of shifts available including days, split shifts and nights.
