We are seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Officer to join our Intensive Housing Management Team in Enfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of housing and homes property operations functions, ensuring timely and high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day work schedules, ensuring works are assessed, prioritised and scheduled within defined timescales.
  • Undertake quality inspections to ensure works are completed to a high standard.
  • Line manage maintenance officers and conduct their supervisions and appraisals.
  • Work alongside the Intensive Housing Management Team to deliver a high-quality service and ensure customer needs are met.
  • Ensure all maintenance records are accurately maintained.
  • Ensure void works for landlords are recorded and reported and works completed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate the core values of the Charity.
  • Previous experience of managing/supervising maintenance operatives (or similar).
  • Willingness to undertake qualification in Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
  • Proven experience in a general maintenance role.
  • Painting and decorating skills, carpentry and minor plumbing work skills.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety issues in housing.
  • Driving Licence (no endorsements within the last three years).
  • Ability to work with vulnerable clients.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own.
  • Work on own initiative.
  • Work to set deadlines.
