Key Responsibilities

As a Procurement Consultant at Turner & Townsend, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients deliver major capital programmes and projects for green technologies. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing sustainable energy solutions for customers and the community at large.



Main Expectations


  • Provide procurement support across multiple programmes, projects, and commissions to help clients achieve better green, sustainable outcomes across various renewable energy asset types.
  • Deliver and continually improve clients' performance and meet targets across key capital procurement themes.
  • Support the development of renewable energy procurement services provided by Turner & Townsend.
  • Assist in business development for renewable energy procurement and marketing requirements of the wider Contract Services capability.
  • Contribute to the delivery of team and business targets in Turner & Townsend.


Required Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:




  • Embodied expertise in end-to-end procurement activities, including major capital programmes and projects procurement strategy and implementation, contract management, supply chain intelligence, supplier evaluation strategies, supply chain management, and contract terms, negotiation, and award.
  • Experience in one or more of the following technologies: hydro-electric, onshore and offshore wind, tidal, energy from waste, hydrogen, solar, carbon capture, net zero, biofuels, and geothermal.
  • Knowledge of the UK and international energy sector, related technologies, and regulatory environments.
  • Proven experience in successful supplier engagement and key responsible sourcing areas, including human rights, environment, health and safety, anti-bribery & corruption, and labour practices.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a mix of the following:




  • A degree related to one of the following: procurement, supply chain, sustainability, business management, or similar disciplines.
  • Has achieved, is working towards, or is willing to work towards at least Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
  • Security Clearance (SC) – currently valid or could be reinstated, not essential.
