Data Privacy Analyst (FTC – 12 months) – Crawley (Hybrid)

£40,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage data subject requests under UK data protection laws, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and meeting legal deadlines.
  • Develop and enhance internal documentation and communications around the data subject request process, ensuring efficient and cost-effective handling.
  • Work closely with the team on tool development and integration, including OneTrust Privacy Rights Automation module and internal platforms.
  • Assist in identifying improvements to reduce risk and ensure compliance, including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Legal Basis for Processing Checklists.
  • Support organisation-wide processes, such as Data Protection by Design and Default, collaborating with business teams and the IT department.
  • Contribute to data protection and security training, awareness initiatives, and eLearning programmes.
  • Provide advice on data protection and security-related queries, both internally and externally.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding and practical experience of UK data protection legislation, including UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and PECR.
  • Recognised data protection qualifications, such as UK GDPR Practitioner, CIPP/E, or CIPM.
  • Substantial experience in handling data subject requests under the UK GDPR.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficient general IT skills, ideally with experience using Google Workspace and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
