About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our Community Neuro Rehab Team in Lambeth and Southwark. The successful candidate will work with patients living with long-term neurological conditions, such as Parkinson's Disease, MS, and MND, as well as those who have experienced newly acquired brain injuries.

The team offers short-term multidisciplinary neuro rehabilitation and condition management, with a focus on person-centered, goal-oriented care. Our approach encourages patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation, and we work closely with Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Rehab Assistants, Psychologists, and Social Workers to provide comprehensive care.

The ideal candidate will have significant rehabilitation experience at Band 6 level within Stroke/Neurorehabilitation, as well as experience managing less senior staff and students. They will also have good organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, as well as demonstrable skills in assessing patients with complex conditions.

We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with regular clinical supervision, peer supervision meetings, team huddles, and direct Band 8a Operational Leadership. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge of local services and contribute to service development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with patients living with long-term neurological conditions and those who have experienced newly acquired brain injuries
  • Provide person-centered, goal-oriented care, encouraging patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
  • Manage less senior staff and students, providing supervision and appraisal

Requirements

  • Graduate Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Health Professions Council- State registration
  • Significant rehabilitation experience at Band 6 level within Stroke/Neurorehabilitation
  • Experience managing less senior staff and students
