Job Summary

The Transport Team Leader will ensure the smooth management of the transport operation, with responsibility for delivering cost, service, compliance, and people KPIs in line with company and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan the depot fleet using company planning tools to maximize efficiency and minimize cost.
  • Support the management team in ensuring the department and depot are compliant in all areas.
  • Monitor and maintain housekeeping standards in the department, identifying and eliminating workplace hazards.
  • Communicate proactively with drivers, mates, internal, and external customers regarding operational issues.
  • Provide expert knowledge, advice, leadership, motivation, and address areas for improvement.
  • Provide practical solutions to operational challenges and take ownership of problems.
  • Create and maintain a positive, safe, and productive working environment.
  • Continually review ways to improve operations, generating new ideas and implementing change.

About You

  • Passionate about providing a premium service to internal and external customers.
  • A team player who leads by example and can motivate, coach, and develop team members.
  • Proven experience with investigations, including accidents and disciplinaries.
  • Able to manage targets and KPIs.
