Job Title: SEN Mentor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Mentor to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Wembley. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or ADHD.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with students aged 11-16 to develop their independence, time management skills, and study techniques.
  • Support students with EHCPs and monitor their progress, providing regular feedback to parents and teachers.
  • Supervise independent study rooms and create a positive learning environment.
  • Liaise with careers and pastoral staff to raise achievement and aspirations of students.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including monitoring attendance and punctuality, tracking student data, and handling student enquiries.
  • Update and manage SIMs for sixth form students.
  • Provide time management coaching and 1:1 support to students.
Requirements:
  • Must have a degree or higher level education.
  • Previous experience working in a school or child-related setting.
  • Firm presence and strong behaviour management skills.
  • Previous experience with one-to-one, small group work, and/or whole class support.
  • Professional manner, proactive, engaging, and empathetic approach.
