About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ambulance Vehicle Preparation Operative to join our team at Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust. As an Ambulance Vehicle Preparation Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our frontline operational vehicles are fully equipped and prepared to attend and treat patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Process Ambulance Service Vehicles in a prescribed and controlled way to ensure each ambulance is fully equipped and prepared to attend and treat a patient.
  • Conduct detailed cleaning and Infection Prevention and Control activities, checking and inspecting medical and lifting & handling equipment, restocking all consumables, and completing vehicle checks.
  • Prepare consumables, stock control, re-fuelling, and moving vehicles across various locations, recording all daily activities and the repatriation of equipment from Hospital Trusts.

Requirements

  • Driving licence with full Category C1 entitlement, valid in the UK.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work unsocial hours on a 7 day/24 hour shift rota system.
