Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Assistant to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient and visitor services, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for all customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a quality patient and visitor focused service, adhering to all Health and Safety and Food Safety Regulations.
  • Work as part of a team on a 5 days over 7 days' rota, providing support to colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Have knowledge of Policies and Procedures and Food Fluid and Nutrition Standards within NHS, and be able to apply this knowledge in a busy food service environment.
  • Have relevant experience of a similar busy food service environment, including till experience and filling and cleaning of several busy vending machines.
  • Be able to work between the galley dining room, vending on various shifts, and be available initially for a 4 week full time training period.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Policies and Procedures and Food Fluid and Nutrition Standards within NHS.
  • Relevant experience of a similar busy food service environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Ability to work on a 5 days over 7 days' rota.
  • Availability for a 4 week full time training period.
