About this Opportunity:
Ericsson is seeking an experienced Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team as a Regional EHS Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to drive a sustainable safety culture and advance employee well-being within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for projects, promoting EHS to stakeholders and implementing EHS strategies to foster a safety culture.
- Ensure onsite activities are carried out in line with Ericsson's environmental sustainability objectives and compliance with EHS regulations.
- Support risk management of projects and regions, maintaining project risk registers and assisting with task-specific risk assessments.
- Coordinate and deploy resources to meet business needs and ensure compliance with health, safety, and well-being requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, managers, and contractors.
- Support ongoing management of ASP relationships, providing feedback and acting as a point of escalation.
- Review ASP contractor management tools, QPL, and PICW registers to ensure compliance.
- Represent EHS matters in governance activities, providing regional oversight and physical presence on sites for audits and inspections.
- Establish and maintain good operational relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Promote and encourage personnel to report incidents, near misses, and safety suggestions.
- Lead team accident and incident investigations, completing root cause analysis reports and implementing recommendations.
- Proactively identify innovative solutions to mitigate risk and achieve environmental sustainability ambitions.
- Provide internal training and toolbox talks on EHS topics and lessons learned.
- Regularly report to management on EHS performance issues and achievements.
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Health and Safety.
- Health and Safety qualifications, such as a NEBOSH certificate.
- Knowledge of Construction Design and Management (CDM 2015) Regulations.
- EHS internal and external audit experience (ISO:14001/45001).
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to maintain relationships at all levels across stakeholders.
- Ability to assess EHS needs of customer engagements and translate them into actions for the business.
- Extensive experience working in high-risk environments and with contractors and suppliers.
- Awareness of hazards involved in construction, such as Asbestos Awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal, social, and communication skills.
- Demonstrable leadership capability in handling and leading change in a large, complex organization.
