About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team at Conrad Consulting Ltd. As a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-profile projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a dynamic design team in undertaking traditional, bespoke, and innovative designs.
  • Design loading scenarios, including seismic design, and provide technical leadership and expertise.
  • Take on the role of Technical Lead on specific projects when required.
  • Deliver Nuclear design work, inspections, and construction site support.
  • Conduct concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
  • Perform analysis and design using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot, as well as producing hand calculations.
  • Prepare calculations, CDM activities, basis of design, material specifications, scopes of work, technical reports, and inter-discipline design coordination and supervision.
  • Manage project delivery and people management of Senior CS&A Engineers and CS&A Engineers.
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified (BEng or MEng) Civil/Structural Engineer.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership of ICE or IStructE or working towards.
  • Significant experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
  • Awareness and experience of using the latest design codes and standards.
  • Understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory standards.
  • Able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
