Mace is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Advisor to join our team. As a Senior Project Advisor, you will be responsible for leading projects to deliver agreed outcomes and deliverables within time, cost, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage intermediate-level tasks and associated deliverables, and/or support the Associate Director with activities to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of project and program management operations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support teams across broad business projects and business units, ensuring the best project outcome.
  • Manage design and wider consultant teams and project stakeholders to ensure effective completion of responsibilities, including project brief/scope, fees, processing claims, deliverables, and/or project variations.
  • Produce design and authorities programs to be integrated with procurement and delivery programs.
  • Deliver project objectives, lead and manage the project team and stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Actively adhere to appropriate health, safety, and wellbeing standards aspects across the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and modify project plans and updates, and ensure relevant over the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee project timeframes, ensuring the success of delivery of programs, highlighting risks, challenges, and mitigations, managing project budgets, aligned to plan/agreed returns.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure robust quality systems are in place, suitably managed and monitored in line with service excellence.
  • Lead and record relevant meetings, providing stakeholders contextual information and analysis, including regular site walks.
  • Partner with stakeholders and actively manage risk management and mitigation treatments.
  • Ensure all approved handover documentation is coordinated and provided prior to practical completion.
  • Promote and drive the business priorities through construction to production, digital & data, and responsible business practices.
  • Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management, managing small to medium, and large-sized projects.
  • Developed communication, presentation, and project planning and development skills.
  • Developed budgetary oversight expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in communicating, coordinating activities, and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Display strong communication and negotiation skills to support the client/customer focus.
  • Proactively manage internal budgets and fees, delivering agreed outcomes.
  • Proven competency that understands construction methodologies and sequencing.
  • Proficient knowledge and expertise in specific sector/market of project/role.
  • Relevant technical qualification/certification for project portfolio.
  • Sound technical expertise in Health and Safety Executive (HSE) rules and specific sector/market regulations relevant to project portfolio.
  • Knowledge of consultancy, construction, infrastructure, and property sectors/markets and an understanding of estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, commercial controls, and reporting.
  • Seeks opportunities for implementing improved working practices.
  • Seeks out opportunities for service differentiation and implements.
  • Manages relevant stakeholders for project.
  • Develops effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Tertiary qualifications in related (project management and/or construction-related discipline), non-related degree or equivalent professional experience/apprenticeship, combined with a demonstrable intermediate level of role knowledge.
  • Appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
