Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of one of our largest projects, the Bridgwater Tidal Barrier. This £250 million project will protect 11,300 homes and 1,500 businesses from flooding.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience of delivering complex projects in the flood risk management or water industry sectors. They will be able to lead and develop a team of project managers and engineers, and bring strategic thinking to improve processes and team behaviours.
The role will involve working closely with the project team, stakeholders, and clients to deliver the project to time, budget, and quality. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the project budget, resources, and risks, and for ensuring that the project is delivered in accordance with the Environment Agency's policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a degree-level qualification and a relevant professional project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or APM. They will also be chartered with a relevant professional body, such as ICE or CIWEM.

The successful candidate will be based in our Bridgwater office, with occasional travel to our Bristol or Exeter hubs. They will be required to work flexibly, with 2 days per week dedicated to office working.
