About the Role

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Wigan, providing clinical care for patients and supporting the Older Adult team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments of referrals/admissions to the service, diagnosing and formulating management plans in complex presentations.
  • Provide management in treatment-resistant and complex presentations, assessing and managing risk, including vulnerability, suicide risk, health and safety risk, and risk of harm to others.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams and external partners, conducting memory assessments and supporting the Care Home Liaison Team.
Requirements
  • Medical Degree (Essential), MRCPsych or equivalent (Desirable).
  • Specialist Register (Essential), GMC Registration (Essential), Approved Clinician (Desirable).
