Mental Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Birchwood, Oldham. Our 16-bed rehabilitation service provides support to individuals from the Oldham and surrounding region, helping them transition to independent community living after lengthy hospital stays. Our team is dedicated to empowering individuals to reach their full potential, working collaboratively with community mental and physical health services to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for working in partnership with service users to identify personal goals, develop creative opportunities, and encourage individuals to reach their full potential. You will be fully engaged in a range of activities, including clinical audits, acting as a Named Nurse, participating in Multi-Disciplinary Team reviews, and contributing to the Care Programme Approach. You will also provide clinical supervision, offer supervision to junior staff members, and act as a mentor for student nurses.
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse who can demonstrate leadership skills, adaptability, and a calm, professional approach to challenging situations. We offer a Preceptor Programme for newly qualified Registered Mental Health Nurses, providing a supportive and structured approach to their professional development.
