Job Title: Young Carers Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Young Carers Practitioner to join our dynamic team at The Children's Society. As a key member of our Islington & Camden Young Carers Service, you will contribute to the provision of holistic support for young carers in Camden & Islington.

About the Role:

This role involves providing child-centred assessments, plans, and interventions to support young carers to thrive and reduce the impact of caring responsibilities. You will also support the delivery of training and awareness-raising sessions to relevant professionals and provide specialist help where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain relationships with young people, communities, and partners, working in a culturally sensitive, therapeutic, and holistic way.
  • Conduct assessments and plans within scope of practice, using your knowledge and awareness of national and local initiatives to support young carers and their families.
  • Act creatively, think systemically, and respond to new and challenging situations.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness-raising sessions to relevant professionals.
  • Provide specialist help where necessary, using your excellent verbal and written communication skills.
