About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in Python programming, as well as experience with large datasets and trade booking using the FIX protocol. You will be working with a prestigious Investment Management client, utilizing a leading scientific approach to trading and investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, geographically distributed, and high-availability architectures for post-trade processing
  • Process large datasets using PostgreSQL and data frames
  • Develop reporting and reconciliation applications
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure optimal performance of critical applications
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in post-trade automation

Requirements:

  • Computer Science degree with 5+ years' experience using Python in Financial Services/Back Office environments
  • Demonstrable experience processing large datasets (PostgreSQL and data frames)
  • Exposure to trade booking/FIX protocol
  • Ability to create scalable, geographically distributed, and high-availability architectures
  • Background creating reporting and reconciliation applications
  • Understanding of OTC products with CDS, Interest Rate Swaps, Variance Swaps, etc.
  • Expertise with C++, Spark, Kafka would be highly beneficial
