Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to develop the psychological care for Assertive Outreach within the Community Mental Health Hub. The successful applicant will have experience in Assertive Outreach or strong transferable skills in working systemically.
Main Responsibilities- Assess and manage risk for service-users, including protective and risk factors in relationships.
- Communicate complex information to clients, carers, and colleagues, addressing sensory, emotional, cultural, and hostility barriers.
- Liaise with professionals, working jointly with multidisciplinary team members in assessment and interventions.
- Develop close working relationships with mental health support providers in Milton Keynes.
- Attend review meetings, case conferences, and network meetings, overseeing team activities.
- Maintain clinical notes and ensure written communication with GPs and other parties.
The Clinical Lead and Operational Manager will provide regular supervision and support. The post-holder will also receive peer support and guidance from the team and participate in quality improvement projects.
RequirementsThe successful applicant must have a doctoral-level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuro-psychology. They must also be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and have postdoctoral training and qualification in one or more specialist therapies.
Desirable QualificationsQualifications in CBT for Psychosis and Family Therapy are desirable.
