About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and inquisitive Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental and Health division in our Syracuse, Rochester, Albany, or Buffalo NY offices.

As a key member of our investigation and remediation team, you will help deliver innovative, inspiring, and sustainable solutions that set new standards and make a genuine difference to our clients, the environment, and society.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technical reports, design drawings, and technical specifications following design, construction, and government standards.
  • Prepare basic designs and analyses, including design calculations, field data results, conclusions, and cost estimates.
  • Visit jobsites to gain field experience, broaden background, and develop practical engineering skills.
  • Perform field investigations to assist investigation, design, and construction efforts.
  • Participate in troubleshooting of remedial systems in operation, maintenance, and monitoring phase.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD (Civil 3D a plus) and/or ArcGIS is a plus.
  • Ability to perform field work (inspections and field oversight).
  • OSHA 40-hour training and up-to-date 8-hour refresher or ability to obtain.
  • Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain preferred, on track for PE is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, creative thinking, and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
  • Good interpersonal skills, customer focus, and strong ability to work both independently and effectively in teams.
