Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Perfusion Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, priming, and running cardiopulmonary bypass equipment for cardiac surgery procedures, as well as facilitating the provision of a transport ECMO service.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of cardiac and perfusion techniques, as well as experience in paediatric procedures. They will also be able to formulate policies for the smooth running of the Clinical Perfusion Department and make recommendations for improvement and development.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced perfusionist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Set up, prime, and run cardiopulmonary bypass equipment for cardiac surgery procedures.
  2. Facilitate the provision of a transport ECMO service.
  3. Formulate policies for the smooth running of the Clinical Perfusion Department.
  4. Make recommendations for improvement and development.
Requirements
  • BSc in Perfusion Science or equivalent.
  • Experience in paediatric procedures.
  • Good knowledge of cardiac and perfusion techniques.
