Climate and Nature Risk Assessment

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Risk Modelling Specialist to join our team at ATTB - The Big Jobsite. As a pioneer in environmental analytics, we are revolutionising the way international corporations navigate environmental sustainability.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge modelling techniques that help businesses assess and strategically manage climate and nature risks. With our sophisticated SaaS platform, you will be part of a rapidly expanding organisation that has already established partnerships with globally recognised brands including Nestlé, Burberry, and Reckitt.

This role demands a senior quantitative modeller who can lead technical model development for climate and nature risk assessment. You will build geospatial data layers, develop innovative risk assessment techniques, and transform complex scientific insights into financially relevant business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop mathematical models for environmental risk assessment and their applications to real-world problems.
  • Analyse, manipulate, and visualise climate, environmental, and geospatial datasets (CMIP6, SSP, etc).
  • Utilise advanced programming skills (Python) to create scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex scientific concepts into actionable business insights.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in natural sciences, physics, engineering, or equivalent, with relevant post-graduation experience.
  2. In-depth knowledge of mathematical modelling methods for environmental risk and their applications.
  3. Extensive experience with analysis, manipulation, and visualisation of climate and environmental datasets.
  4. Advanced proficiency in scientific programming (Python).
  5. Exceptional communication skills for translating complex scientific concepts.

The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include competitive bonus and pension schemes, as well as flexible working arrangements.
