Service Transition Manager

We are seeking a skilled Service Transition Manager to lead the smooth handover of services from project delivery into live operations at Hamilton Barnes.
As a Service Transition Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring clear communication, risk management, and operational readiness across teams. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Transition Planning: Develop and manage detailed plans covering timelines, activities, and resources to ensure seamless service transitions.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and collaborate with Operations teams to implement effective mitigations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide transparent updates and issue resolution between Delivery, Operations, and Senior Management to maintain trust and confidence.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards and adherence to policies throughout the transition process to ensure quality service delivery.
- Documentation: Oversee and maintain key documents such as transition plans and knowledge base articles to support knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Training: Lead knowledge management and training to prepare teams for new services and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements for more efficient service transitions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report progress to stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets expectations.
- ITIL Support: Assist with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management, to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Experience managing service transitions in IT environments.
- Strong ITIL knowledge (V4 Managing Professional or V3 Service Transition).
- SC clearance (or willingness to undergo), with potential for DV clearance.
- Strong multitasking, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira.
