About the Role:
We are seeking a caring and passionate Deputy Service Manager to join our Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs. As a Deputy Service Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Service Manager and having joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Service Manager and have joint responsibility for managing the team and the service.
- Plan rotas and manage staff teams to ensure the smooth running of the service.
- Ensure compliance within the service and maintain high standards of care.
- Encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.
- Ensure the safety of service users and follow care plans for each individual.
- Take service users out into the community and participate in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
- Varying levels of personal care.
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care and willingness to work towards Level 3.
- Senior Support Worker experience.
- Must be resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Drivers are essential due to the nature of the role.
- Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
