Job Title – Contracts Manager (NHS)

Location – Glasgow City Centre

Optical Express is a leading provider of ophthalmology services, delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding clinical outcomes. As a key player in the UK and Europe, we have been trusted by millions of patients for over 33 years.

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our sister company ACES, responsible for interactions with key decision makers at the NHS, including Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) in England and Health Boards in other areas of the UK.

ACES is an independent provider of NHS eye care services, delivered in the community. We support the NHS while providing patients with the highest standards of clinical care.

Using the latest ophthalmic technology, we consistently provide excellent clinical outcomes for our patients, allowing them to enjoy a better quality of life.

We offer a range of services, including Cataract, Yag Laser Treatment, Glaucoma, Oculoplastics, and General Ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain contractual relationships with ICBs in England and comparative bodies in other jurisdictions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with bodies where contracts are held, seeking to offer additional support and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Coordinate and project manage the development of new processes to fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Respond to tender opportunities and project manage support required from across the business to return the best possible tender response.
  • Develop new systems to support the business with tenders and contractual responsibilities.
  • Attend key strategic meetings with partner organizations to work for mutual benefit and ensure business is appraised of new strategy and central government directives.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience of working within a multi-site clinical environment and knowledge of NHS policy landscape would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of working in an optical or an ophthalmic environment would be beneficial.
  • Business to Business contract management within a healthcare setting.
