About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Cover Supervisor to join our team at ABC Teachers. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils in Secondary schools.

Your primary responsibility will be to supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring a positive learning environment and maintaining discipline in accordance with school policies.

You will also be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lesson plans, adapting quickly to different subjects and year groups as required, and fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of regular teachers
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Maintain discipline and manage behaviour in accordance with school policies
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning
  • Adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups as required

Requirements
  • Have a warm and friendly nature to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Be willing to work in Mainstream secondary school settings in the capacity of a Cover Supervisor
  • Live in the UK, have the right to work in the UK, and have a good standard of spoken and written English
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check, and hold the Right to Work in the UK
