About the Role:

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Cable Engineer to join our Energy Team. As a Cable Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of electrical substation projects, major renewables, HVDC interconnectors, offshore grids, and FEED design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop transmission and distribution systems for utility companies based on international standards.
  • Apply broad practical knowledge to cable design and produce, including cable routing layouts, trench and trenchless section layouts, cable bonding and phasing, cable pulling, termination, and jointing arrangements.
  • Perform cable sizing calculations based on international standards using CYMCAP software.
  • Work with the wider energy team to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional registration as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and ICE is preferred.
  • Experience in the design and development of transmission and distribution systems, including cable design and production.
  • Hands-on experience with CYMCAP software and proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Office, and AutoCAD or MicroStation.
