Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of students with severe and complex needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist students with personal care, including toileting, changing, and feeding.
  2. Support students with mobility needs, including the use of hoists and other equipment.
  3. Monitor and attend to medical needs, such as tube feeding and medication administration.
  4. Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support learning and development goals.
  5. Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with students to foster a safe and happy learning environment.
  6. Ensure that safeguarding and health and safety standards are maintained at all times.

Requirements:

  • A caring and patient approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
  • Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic environment.
