Company Overview: Our client is a well-established and award-winning specialist contractor with a strong presence in the UK construction market. They have a diverse portfolio of projects across various sectors, including high-rise residential, commercial, and stadia.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and submitting professional and accurate tenders, taking into account market conditions and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and submit tenders for construction projects, ranging from £150,000 to £3 million and above.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers, clients, and colleagues.
- Have sound negotiating experience and be commercially astute.
- Be proficient in the use of Excel and MS Word, with experience of estimating packages and software an advantage.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with glass, timber, steel, masonry, metalwork, and fabricated products, cladding, or other specialist construction or architectural product services.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
