Senior Transport Planner

We are seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily planning and scheduling of routes for our diverse fleet, covering both general haulage and pallet network operations.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in transport planning within the general haulage and/or pallet network sectors, preferably in a senior or supervisory capacity. You will also possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a planning team.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Transport Ops Manager to optimise fleet utilisation, identify areas for operational improvement, and implement strategic planning initiatives. You will also be responsible for managing complex planning requirements, including multi-drop routes, time-sensitive deliveries, and special requirements for high-profile clients.

A strong understanding of UK road networks and geographical locations is essential for this role. Additionally, proficiency in using transport management software and Microsoft Office applications is required. The ideal candidate will also have a proactive and flexible approach to work, with a focus on continuous improvement.
