About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Universally Speaking. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of our games and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test plans to identify and report defects in games and applications
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that defects are properly documented and prioritized
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Develop and maintain test cases and test scripts to ensure thorough testing of games and applications
  • Participate in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure QA effectively tests and supports all features of the project
Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Passion for video games and quality assurance
  • Quick learning and adaptability
  • Focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Inquisitive mind and ability to work independently
  • Team player with ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines
  • Pro-active, tenacious, and enthusiastic
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite and ability to learn new software
  • Familiarity with varied systems and hardware, from PC to console to mobiles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in management and execution of automated tests
  • Experience with version control software, issue task tracking or project management tools
  • Experience in games development projects or jams and knowledge of development engines
  • Experience with Jira
