Job Title: Director of Midwifery Transformation

NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwifery professional to lead the transformation of maternity and neonatal services across the region.

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background and a proven track record of leading complex service transformation and quality improvement initiatives. They will be responsible for driving system redesign, forging strong relationships with clinical directors, directors of midwifery, and chief nurses, and championing service user voice across the local maternity and neonatal system.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement a strategy for transforming maternity and neonatal services, aligned with the overall ICS strategic objectives.
  2. Lead the development of an integrated, flexible, and sustainable maternity and neonatal workforce that can deliver high-quality services at ICS/ICP and neighbourhood levels.
  3. Provide expert advice and strategic system leadership to the ICS Programme Leads, Care Professionals Board, and ICP to support the development of an integrated maternity and neonatal workforce.
  4. Maintain a good knowledge of emerging policies from government departments to inform strategy discussions and act as the clinical lead for the LMNS.
  5. Develop and support transformation within maternity and neonatal models of care and pathways.

Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System (ICS) is a partnership of NHS organisations, local authorities, and voluntary sector partners working together to improve health and care outcomes for local people. The ICS includes a statutory Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) and an Integrated Care Board (ICB) called NHS Norfolk and Waveney.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team working to improve health and care services for the people of Norfolk and Waveney.
