Main Duties of the Job

As a dynamic and innovative physiotherapist, you will have completed a range of core band 5 rotations and be able to demonstrate leadership skills and service development. You will be able to provide a range of rehabilitation interventions as well as having an understanding of prevention of admission and discharge processes, and the need to optimise flow through the system.

Person Specification
  • Ability to travel between sites
  • Driving licence
Knowledge
  • Consolidation and development of undergraduate training through attendance at in-service training and other CPD opportunities
  • Portfolio of evidence of post-graduate learning e.g. ALERT, neurology, cardio-respiratory etc.
  • Key NHS drivers for change and implications for physiotherapy services
  • Complaints procedure
Qualifications
  • Degree in physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Clinical supervision / mentoring certificate or equivalent
Experience
  • Rotations in a broad range of core areas, e.g. cardio-respiratory, ITU, elderly rehabilitation, acute medicine, orthopaedics, MSK, neurology and community rehabilitation
  • Working to full band 5 outline
  • Supervising e.g. students, newly qualified staff or technical instructors
  • Work within a community setting
  • Responsibility for an area of work, e.g. health & safety, in-service training
