Job Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching.

About the Role: As a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work within a special needs school that caters for children with autism and social emotional and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with autism and SEMH needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive classroom culture, fostering a sense of community and belonging among students and staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with autism and SEMH needs (desirable but not essential).
  • Passion for learning and a commitment to professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
