Job Title: Senior Test Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Technician to join our team at Lynx Recruitment Limited. As a Senior Test Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our optical components used in fibre-optic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Testing and Measurement: Perform detailed testing of optical components (lasers, photodiodes, modulators, optical amplifiers) using advanced equipment.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential issues. Compile comprehensive test reports and present findings.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to optical component performance. Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and optimize product designs.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proficiency with optical testing equipment (OTDRs, optical spectrum analyzers, power meters).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience with data analysis software and report generation.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Certification in fibre-optic testing (e.g., FOA CFOT).
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ITU-T, IEEE, Telcordia).
  • Experience with automated testing systems.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality control principles.
