Business Systems Analyst

ArcelorMittal South Africa Limited is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join their team in Newcastle. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in the development and support of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) environment.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a technical advisor to the business, applying corporate and departmental standards, policies, and rules.
- Ensure the MES team delivers high-quality solutions according to specified requirements.
- Obtain knowledge of plant processes and/or business processes in areas of responsibility.
- Manage business change requests and identify opportunities for process transformation and automation.
- Lead problem-solving, develop opportunities for businesses, and present recommendations.
- Participate in acquisition and implementation of MES projects, including identification of opportunities and technical architecture acquisition.
- Responsible for integration and acceptance testing, as well as after-implementation monitoring and support.
- Manage and lead the Business Analyst team.
- B-Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Information Science, or B-Eng. Degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years' relevant experience and working knowledge as a Business Analyst in MES development and support environments.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes, ITIL, and Agile System Development and Project Management processes.
- Ability to scope projects, compile development specifications, and determine system requirements.
- Experience in identifying bottlenecks, delays, manual overhead, and root causes of inefficiencies.
- Expert in data gathering and business analysis.
- Experience in managing a team of Business Analysts.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Mature personality with high emotional intelligence.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and statistical analysis skills.
- Relationship-building ability.
- Excellence in planning and execution.
- Stakeholder involvement and networking skills.
- Solid quantitative and research skills with proven data interpretation capabilities.
