Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Design and Production Engineer to join our team at Innovate Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our Production Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and improving manufacturing processes across our electronics product ranges.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize manufacturing costs.
  3. Ensure the maintenance of configuration control documents and product manufacturing times.
  4. Develop and implement process FMEA, control plans, and conduct risk assessments to ensure manufacturing efficiency.
  5. Support the development of long-term improvement plans for both products and processes.
  6. Contribute to New Product Development (NPD) by ensuring designs meet Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) standards.
  7. Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, coordinating with engineering and project teams.
  8. Plan and control manufacturing changes, from concept to production, including process improvements and trials.
  9. Support safety processes, including risk and COSHH assessments, and promote a safety-first culture.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in an engineering role supporting electronics manufacturing.
  2. Working knowledge of mechanical manufacturing philosophies such as DFM/DFA.
  3. Understanding of both electrical and mechanical assembly, manufacturing, and testing.
  4. Ability to produce concise reports and deliver effective presentations.
  5. Familiarity with electrical and RF test techniques is beneficial.
  6. Experience with high-voltage electronics and encapsulation.
  7. Expertise in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, A3, Root Cause Analysis).
  8. Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) data and calculations.
Security Clearance

The successful candidate will require the ability to obtain SC (Security Clearance).
